Come on Down!

Welcome to Downstream Biodynamics, a safe space to slow down and flow with the current of your inherent well-being.

About Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a form of bodywork; Biodynamic is a specific paradigm that believes in the inherent wisdom of your own body & soul.  In the Biodynamic approach, there is no diagnosing, nor fixing.  Rather (and quite counter-culturally!), there is an appreciation for all that is -- even the seemingly problematic patterns we might be coming in for.  There is a divine intelligence, or "blueprint" of health, within each of us, that is never lost.

Through skilled, therapeutic touch, the practitioner listens to the body’s expressions of this blueprint of health.  In so doing, a relational field of safety is created that facilitates the natural reorganization towards this greater, felt-sense of wellness -- across the body’s tissues, fluids, nervous system, and one's energetic and emotional layers.

While BCST can help to address a wide range of conditions that are painful, it can also benefit those simply wanting to connect to their most authentic self or open up to new possibilities of trust in life.

Testimonials

Kadie was incredibly warm and inviting. After my BCST session with her, my body felt lighter. I would recommend going to her if you are experiencing any sort of stress physically or emotionally. I felt like I was being guided energetically to learning broader life lessons.

-Abbey Archer

"I had a BCST session with Kadie Spinks and remember feeling extremely safe in her presence, went deep into the experience, and found her to be extremely intuitive and very supportive in my experience. I highly recommend her expertise!"

-Tina Karagulian, Black Rose Arts & Press

"I'm so grateful for Kadie and the safe space she provides for my nervous system to release, balance, and integrate whatever comes up. I've been working with Kadie for many months now and I always leave our sessions feeling grounded, restored, and rejuvenated. Kadie has a wonderful gift and I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in BCST sessions."

About Me

Howdy! My name is Kadie Spinks.

To the bottom-right is a photograph of me "co-regulating" with my dog Egg and my parents' dog Tucker.  I love this picture so much because it illustrates the power of BCST.  From the countless sessions I have received (& continue to receive), my ANS (autonomic nervous system) has gotten to unwind held-tension-patterns in my body and re-pattern to its inherent health, or "blueprint" as we call it.  This has positively impacted my dog Egg over the years whom I adopted when he was nine. Because of his history prior to adoption, he tended to be a lone-wolf.  Here you can see his journey of also starting to feel safer in relationship as he cuddles up to his "cousin" Tucker. 🥹

This points to the hermetic expression "as within, so without" -- our external reality mirrors our internal reality.

Regarding my training, I studied BCST (and some Polarity Therapy) with Anna & Liz Chitty at the Colorado School of Energy Studies from 2022-2024.  In 2019, I completed a 300hr yoga teacher training with Raj Patra in Portland, OR.  I love to teach and I occasionally offer workshops and classes as well.

In addition to the healing arts, I dabble in visual and performative art, all with a common interest in presence (and fun!).
